Palatis B.V. is represented by its directors, jointly authorised: Noor Abadi and Tomas Villasenor. Correspondence intended for the board should be addressed to them at the registered address above, or to [email protected] marked for the attention of the board.

Data protection

Our data protection officer is Ines Kruger, reachable at [email protected] or by post at the registered address, marked private and confidential. Data subject requests, breach notifications and supervisory correspondence all go to that address. Our supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in The Hague. Responsibility for content

Responsible for the editorial content of palatis.app under Dutch media and press law: Noor Abadi, at the registered address above. Recipes, technique notes and the flavor coach playbook are published under our editorial control with attribution to the contributing chefs, who license their material to us. Journal articles carry a named author. Corrections and right-of-reply requests go to [email protected] and we answer them on the record.

Hosting and technical operation

The service runs on managed cloud infrastructure in Germany, with content delivery, TLS termination and abuse filtering handled by a European edge network. Application data resides in the European Union. The hosting and infrastructure providers act as our processors under written data processing agreements and have no editorial control over anything published here. The current named provider list is available on request from [email protected].

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the text, interface, illustration, wordmark, palate model and software on this site belong to Palatis B.V. or to our licensors. The Palatis name and the flavor rosette mark are ours. Partner and grocer names, including Freshcart, Mercato Nove, Copperpot, Bloom and Bushel, The Salt Room, Umamiya, Verdant Grocer, Chez Lumiere, Kettle and Co, Nomad Pantry and Harvest Loop, are the marks of their respective owners and appear here to describe a partnership.

All illustration on this site was drawn for Palatis. Typefaces are used under their published licences. You may quote and link to our pages with attribution; republishing chef material, the build library or substantial parts of the site requires written permission, which you can request from [email protected].

External links

We link to grocery partners, chefs, suppliers and reference sources. Those sites are outside our control and we do not adopt their content. We check a destination before we link to it, and we remove a link when we learn it has become unlawful or misleading. Tell us at [email protected] if you find one that should go.

Liability for our own content

We compile the information here carefully, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free, and technical and typographical mistakes happen. Nutrition figures, allergen data and cooking guidance are subject to the Nutrition and Allergen Disclaimer, which you should read before relying on any of them. Our contractual liability is set out in the Terms of Service. Nothing on this page limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.

Consumer disputes and online dispute resolution

If you are a consumer with a complaint, write to [email protected] first; billing matters go faster through [email protected]. We answer substantively within ten working days.

Consumers resident in the European Union may also use the European Commission online dispute resolution platform, which routes a complaint about a contract concluded online to an approved dispute body. We are not currently a member of a sectoral dispute committee and are not obliged to be, but we participate in good faith in any procedure a consumer legitimately opens. Dutch law governs our consumer contracts, without displacing the mandatory protections of your own country of residence, and the courts of Amsterdam have jurisdiction where a consumer forum rule does not give you a closer one.

Regulated activities

Palatis is a software service. We do not sell food, we are not a food business operator, and we do not hold a food-handling registration, because nothing edible passes through our hands. Where you buy groceries through the hand-off, the selling grocer is the food business operator and carries the corresponding registrations and duties. Commissions we earn on those orders are disclosed in the Affiliate Disclosure.

Reporting unlawful content

To report content on our platform that you believe is unlawful, email [email protected] with the exact address, what you believe is unlawful and why, and how to reach you. We acknowledge within two working days, decide within ten, and tell you the outcome and how to challenge it. Community-published recipes can be reported from inside the app in one tap.
